On Wednesday afternoon, a lorry lost control and slammed into vehicles, motorbikes, and pedestrians in Migori town, killing one and injuring ten others.

Suna East Sub-county police commander Essau Ochorokodi confirmed the event, saying seven people were critically injured and three others sustained soft tissue injuries.

The vehicle was on its way to Sirare.

Police officials are reportedly on the scene, while victims are being treated at the Migori County Referral Hospital.

The crash happened just a few metres from where another vehicle killed eight people during the Easter holidays.
