He said this is entrenched in the new constitution of 2010, targeting to lift the marginalised areas to enjoy development and services like other developed areas.
The commissioner said all Kenyans need to be part of the country since there is a caring government though some areas may take time to catch up.
He also pointed out that local sub-location committees to the county committee will oversee the projects that will benefit from the funds.
The committees at the sub-county level, through the involvement of the local community, will identify and prioritise projects to be funded.
The commissioner noted that in Kajiado County, only 66.4% of 316179 households accessed safe drinking water by 2019, while only 67.9% were connected to electricity within the same period.
Moreover, he stated that in 2019 the paved road network stood at 33.2%, adding that areas identified as marginalised in the county had risen from 64 to 76 sub-locations for possible funding.
