Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at the Ngong Racecourse grounds for the Jubilee Party National Delegate Conference (NDC).

The beleaguered Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and Vice Chairperson David Murathe accompanied the former premier, Jubilee's party leader, to the meeting.

The conference comes amid a power struggle inside the party, with a faction led by East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega and nominated MP Sabina Chege vying for leadership.

Kioni and MP Kega are battling for control of the party, with Kioni reportedly unwilling to relinquish his position as party Secretary-General to make room for MP Kega.

Kega's, on the other hand, named Sabina Chege as its party leader, dethroning Uhuru.

During a Thanksgiving ceremony in Isiolo on Sunday, MP Kega stated that there would be no (NDC) meeting and that whatever is held would be a political gathering.

"As Jubilee's Secretary General, I regret to inform you that there will be no NDC meeting tomorrow." "We'll call the meeting when the time comes," Kega stated.
