According to Eastern regional commissioner Paul Rotich, ten thousand people are scheduled to attend Madaraka Day celebrations at the Moi Stadium in Embu.

President William Ruto will preside over the festivities.

Rotich told the reporters on Wednesday that the gates would be open as early as 4 a.m.

He stated that the government has made significant investments to ensure the success of the celebrations.

The county will host the 60th Madaraka Day events, bringing Kenyans together to commemorate one of their most treasured memories.

"The infrastructure has been refurbished and is ready to host the celebrations," he explained.

"We also assure Kenyans that Embu will be ready to host our valued visitors for the event."

He stated that the county anticipates a high number, which will be met by providing parking spaces for everyone within the County's Central Business District.

According to the security agency, the VIPs and diplomats will also be there.

"Eastern is prepared, and everyone is ready for Madaraka," he stated.
