Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party, has now set President William Ruto another deadline to revoke the highly contentious Finance Bill, 2023, or face unspecified consequences.
Speaking on Wednesday at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation Headquarters in Nairobi, Mr Odinga said the President Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza administration had until Monday next week to listen to Kenyans' views on the Bill or "face their wrath."
The Azimio leader slammed the President for placing excessive taxes on already overburdened Kenyans, the majority of whom live on less than a dollar a day.
Raila Odinga accused President Ruto of re-introducing dictatorship in the country, which he said will enrage the suffering majority.
