Gospel artist Daddy Owen has expressed his support for Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni after he signed a bill into law that criminalizes the LGBTQ community in Uganda. Owen commended this action and revealed that he has been advocating for a similar stance in Kenya, despite facing substantial criticism for his views.

Furthermore, the singer went on to strongly condemn the LGBTQ community, dismissing it as a Western agenda intended to undermine and damage our society.

"This is an agenda from the West, not a popularity contest, it doesn't need any popularity, it's something that's it started long ago and it's the root reason for GOD to destroy two Biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorra!! It's time we rise up as a society as parents and condemn, denounce, and rebuke this agenda harshly! Lest our future generation blames us for not protecting them. Our neighbors in Uganda are handling this situation excellently, now is our turn to stand firm! I said it.. The plan is to access and influence our schools, institutions, and our children. Let's protect our posterity."

The musician had previously published a message decrying the LGBTQ movement, but Instagram removed it because it contained hate speech.

"My post has been flagged and REMOVED by INSTAGRAM!! These are the measures they take to threaten, intimidate and browbeat people! I will not RELENT! Next is they will take away my social media accounts & handles! I will NOT RELENT! After they will create and start propaganda and agitprop upon my brand, I WILL NOT RELENT!... I am not desperate for thr VISA!

I repeat, we SHOULDN'T allow ths agenda in our society, we have our own ethos and correctness. LET'S PROTECT OUR POSTERITY.But don't be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all."

The Anti-LGBTQ movement gained significant momentum following the Supreme Court of Kenya's approval for the registration of the LGBTQ movement as a non-governmental organization (NGO) within the country.

However, this decision by the Supreme Court sparked intense outrage from various church leaders in the country. Church leaders came together and held a press conference to condemn the court's ruling and express their disapproval.

On the other hand, the news was met with celebration and joy by LGBTQ activists, including media personality Makena Njeri. They saw the approval as a significant step forward in advancing LGBTQ rights and equality.

A short video clip resurfaced featuring Makena in an interview with Bien, where the activist shared their reasons for no longer attending church. Makena expressed that after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ community, they began to feel unwelcome within the church.

Makena strongly criticized the church for engaging in discrimination against LGBTQ individuals, emphasizing that such discrimination goes against the belief that God does not discriminate.
