Milima Mitatu villagers in Molo, Nakuru County, were in mourning on Thursday when a four-year-old boy died mysteriously after being dropped off at school

Mary Wanjiru Njuguna, the boy's mother, told Citizen Digital that she brought her kid to the learning centre at around 8 a.m., only to receive a call two hours later alerting her that her child had fallen ill and had been transferred to Molo Sub-County Hospital.

According to the boy's family, they were later told that the dead, when playing with his peers during tea break, climbed a barbed wire perimeter wall encircling the facility but lost his footing.

The boy's balaclava became entangled in the barbed wire fence, choking him while his peers looked on helplessly.

A nice Samaritan allegedly heard the children's pleas for help and rushed to save the boy who had reportedly lost consciousness.

According to the boy's family, teachers were sipping tea when the incident occurred.

However, police reports from Molo Police Station state that the youngster died due to an existing medical issue, which his mother denies.

Sylvester Musikoyo, the Molo Sub-county Director of Education, stated that authorities are investigating the event to determine what happened.
