Azimio la Umoja coalition co-principle Kalonzo Musyoka stated that the Azimio la Umoja Coalition is willing to participate in bipartisan negotiations with Kenya Kwanza if the talks are conducted in good faith.

The Azimio co-principal stated at a church service in Machakos County on Sunday that they were dedicated to the negotiations but that the Kenya Kwanza team was hiding something.

Kalonzo's remarks follow Azimio's decision to halt bipartisan negotiations indefinitely due to the government's failure to meet its requests.

On the disputed Finance Bill 2023, the Wiper CEO backed a legal challenge by Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah.

He encouraged the courts to be fair in their decision on Okiyah's plea, adding that he does not fully trust the judiciary.

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti remarked at the church service that the Finance Bill needs to go through thorough public engagement because the government needs to find additional methods to support its people. She went on to say that they were waiting for orders from Kalonzo, their leader.

According to Machakos senator Agnes Kavindu, life is getting difficult and miserable for hustlers since the UDA government's promises were unrealistic.

She encouraged MPs not to support the Bill because it was not in Kenyans' best interests.

The opposition and the kenya kwanza teams have accused each other of stalling the negotiation process. The team, led by George Murugara, claims Azimio is hunting for reasons to call off the negotiations.

The azimio la Umoja bipartisan team has vowed to stay away from the talks unless the government withdraws the finance bill 2023. In a press conference, the Azimio la Umoja coalition says that its members of parliament will vote to oppose the finance bill 2023.

The coalition asked the government to remove the Finance Bill and reintroduce it in a way that addresses Kenyans' interests, according to a statement issued by National Assembly Minority Whip Opiyo Wandayi.

Wandayi explained that they have agreed that MPs will sign a public pledge as a commitment until the Bill is withdrawn.
