Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale has voiced confidence in President William Ruto's ambitious plan to channel reforms in the country.
Duale remarked while defending the contentious Finance Bill 2023 that President Ruto has a clear plan to deliver the nation from an economic crisis, which is sadly being clouded by a few critics pushing the public to oppose it.
Despite the harsh tax measures suggested in the disputed Bill, Duale believes Kenyans would learn to appreciate President Ruto's efforts to transform the country.
"Every leader is remembered." You have been granted the [mandate] to lead 50 million Kenyans and make decisions about their livelihoods, roads, water, etc." said duale.

While addressing at a church service in Leshuta, Narok County, on Sunday, duale told Ruto never to blink. As Mzee Kibaki was remembered when he left office, Kenyans would remember him as the first to deliver them from slums where they did not have a decent existence.
He also chastised the bill's opponents of the Housing Levy, claiming that they are recipients of enormous pension allowances starting at Ksh.30 million while preventing ordinary Kenyans from the option to buy their properties.
President Ruto, who was at the same event, asked members of parliament to stop politicizing the finance bill 2023, insisting that it will be good for kenyans. The president said that Azimio La Umoja and other opposition leaders only oppose the measure because they oppose it.
"Stop the squabbling over the housing levy. Even the opposition supports the housing plan, and if Azimio were in charge, they would be saying the same thing he is, said Ruto.
According to Ruto, every politician agrees that the proposed housing levy in the Finance Bill 2023 is good for the country.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, on the other hand, has warned that any member of parliament who opposes the bill will not get roads developed in their areas.
