The MP for Emuhaya Constituency attended a secondary school teachers’ sports tournament at Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay town on Sunday in the company KUPPET's Secretary General Akelo Misori and other officials.

Their welcome at the event turned hostile minutes after he was invited to give a speech before the commencement of the final match, and he said that he voted yes for the finance bill 2023.

The rowdy teachers accused him of betraying them by voting for the bill. They did not want to listen to him explain the finance bill's benefits.his counterpart Misori wanted to condemn teachers for their behaviour, but he was met with objects the angry teachers were throwing on the podium.

One of Milemba's bodyguards took two pistols out of his belt and pointed them at the teachers to stop them from throwing stones while still protecting his boss.

Misori and Yogo denounced the incident and argued that it was improper for the teachers to be unkind to Milemba.
