The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has urged motorists to drive cautiously amid inclement weather.

In a statement issued on Friday, the NTSA emphasized the importance of slowing down and turning on fog lights during wet weather to improve visibility.

The transportation authority also recommended drivers maintain a safe distance from the car in front of them, maintain a constant and controlled speed, and avoid unexpected manoeuvres that could result in loss of control.

Furthermore, the NTSA advises drivers to plan their journeys accordingly, allowing for extra travel time due to possible slower traffic caused by inclement weather.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many areas, including the Central Highlands, Rift Valley, and Western Kenya.
