Cleophas Malala, Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), has accused Azimio leader Raila Odinga of instigating turmoil in the country and economic sabotage.

On Saturday, at a UDA mass registration drive in Tana River County, Malala told Raila he would be jailed if the anti-government protests continued.

He claimed Raila should be held accountable for the devastation caused by the Saba Saba mass rallies on Friday, accusing him of deliberately undermining President Ruto's government.

The UDA Secretary-General said they are putting up with Raila but are practically sick of it. Adding that raila is not above the law, they will arrest him and take him to court if he continues to destroy people's property, chase away investors, and mistreat youths.

The UDA Secretary-General has cautioned Raila not to proceed with the planned mass protest on Wednesday next week.

Malala urged the interior CS kindiki not to entertain raila odinga. He dismissed Azimio's current initiative to gather 10 million signatures to launch a revolution against President William Ruto's government.

"You can't keep doing the same thing and expecting different results." You've been holding the Saba Saba March for years, but you've never been elected president. Do you intend to threaten Ruto? "William Ruto is here to stay until 2032; try collecting signatures in 2033," he remarked.

Former Tana River Governor Hussein Dado alleged during the meeting that courts are also being held captive, with political activists being used to undermine the administration, as seen by the suspension of the finance legislation.

Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana stated that the opposition should not dictate what the government should do within their policies but rather outline how a future administration should be formed.
