James Orengo, the governor of Siaya, has urged President William Ruto to quit threatening the opposition and focus on finding solutions to the issues facing Kenya.

According to Orengo, threats have been used by nearly all succeeding regimes since independence, but they have never been successful in solving issues.

"Moi and Jomo Kenyatta would threaten people... Orengo remarked during a Sunday sermon in Ugunja, "We want to remind Ruto that there is no need to threaten people; if there is a problem, let us settle it.  


The governor said the anti-government protests are now more about Kenyans' challenging economic conditions than Raila Odinga.

Governor Orengo urged the President to show some humanity and comprehend that Kenyans' rising living costs are to blame for last week's demonstrations, seen in practically all regions of the nation.

The County Chief emphasized that President Ruto must rise to the occasion and understand that police brutality, threats, or intimidation are not the answer to Kenyans' complaints.
