Milimani Law Court is set to give a ruling on the bail hearing case against controversial Embakasi Member of Parliament(MP) Babu Owino on Friday.
This is after the Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina adjourned the case Thursday night.
However, the court allowed a plea to allow the legislator to seek medical attention asking the police to escort him to the hospital.
The lawmaker was presented in Court last evening and charged with subversion alongside six others following his arrest on Tuesday.
Along with Calvin Okoth Otieno, a.k.a. "Gaucho," who sparked an internet outrage after butchering a goat in front of the camera and licking its fresh blood while taunting government officials he accused of endangering Azimio leader Raila Odinga, he was charged in court.
The declaration was made by Gaucho on Tuesday, the day before Odinga's scheduled picketing of the government was to resume.
When the defendants appeared in court on Thursday, the State objected to a plea by their attorneys that they be freed on bond owing to worries about national security.
The State's protest criticising the arbitrary detention of accused people outside the 24 hours allowed by law was disputed by attorneys for the seven accused people.
