An enraged student has confronted Uasin Gishu, Governor Bii and Senator Mandago on the ongoing Finland scholarship saga.
In the now-viral video, the student reprimanded the leaders for arriving late at the meeting they called to discuss the issue. She accused the leaders of constantly lying to them about when the scholarships would be available.

The young lady noted that the children of the politicians have all moved to Australia or Europe, adding that the politicians have given their children a headstart while the children of poor people still languish in absolute poverty.
Governor Jonathan Bii distanced himself from the Finland scholarship fee payment incident last month, saying that former governor Jackson Mandago (now Uasin Gishu Senator) should come forward and explain what happened.
Bii told the press in Eldoret town that his administration only deals with the issue for parents and kids who may have paid but still need to complete their studies abroad.
Bii remarked that no new scheme should include him and that those stealing scholarship funds should bear their cross.
Bii said the effort was administered by the Uasin Gishu Overseas Education Trust rather than the county government. He discovered this revelation when he took office in August 2022.
In mid-July, The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) launched an investigation into claims of fraudulent activity involving a scholarship program to Finland established by the Uasin Gishu County government.
