Pastor Dorcas urged the young men to stay focused and dedicated in their rehabilitation path while visiting the Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre in Timau, Meru County, and to look forward to a brighter future.

"I've been to prison, drug dens, and the streets, and today I'm here at this rehabilitation centre to see that our young men are rescued from their addictions." A mother will appear in court to defend her child and even visit them in prison. You are my sons, and I will never stop loving you." said Pastor Dorcas at the rehab

The individuals she sent to recovery on June 8, 2023, were from various regions of Mathira Constituency and had struggled with substance misuse.

The recovered addicts told Pastor Dorcas about their post-rehabilitation goals, which included serving in the Kenya Defence Forces, creating businesses, raising families, finding work, and living a drug-free life.

Pastor Dorcas saw the various activities that the recovering addicts are involved in while at the rehabilitation facility, which include beadwork, hairdressing, poultry keeping, pig farming, and crop and vegetable gardening.

She also assured them of the government's assistance, particularly in their search for work as they rebuild their lives.

Pastor Dorcas urged Kenyans not to call persons suffering from addiction derogatory names but to assist them as they rebuild their lives.

Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi was present on the day the first batch was flagged off, and he encouraged the young men to follow a drug-free life.
