President William Ruto has maintained that he has no issues with the azimio la Umoja coalition.
During the introduction of Bungoma County Aggregation and Industrial Park in Singalo, the Head of State stated that the opposition has the right to oversee the government and keep it in check.
"I have no problem with our opposition friends; they are carrying out a constitutional duty of oversight, and we have even made things easier for them; I have given instructions that members of my cabinet go to parliament and answer questions," Ruto added.
The president stressed that the opposition should continue its job as long as they do it peacefully.

Ruto stated that he is eager to establish the post of the opposition leader to provide them with resources to oversee and criticize the administration.
"I have also stated that, even if they require a larger office of the leader of the opposition, I am prepared to establish an office of the leader of the opposition that will be fully funded by the government so that they may properly execute their oversight mandate," Ruto added.
He condemned using violence to criticize the government, citing the damage to property during the recent protests by opposition leader Raila Odinga, calling the practices unconstitutional.
"What we oppose is violence." Let us avoid mayhem and violence, which we cannot allow...because it is unlawful, undemocratic, unpatriotic, violates the rule of law, and constitutes political violence," Ruto stated.
"Organizing violence to destroy people's property, including burning roads and public infrastructure, is undemocratic, unpatriotic, against the rule of law, unconstitutional, and should not happen in the Kenya of the twenty-first century." he added.
