Forty-nine passengers in an Ena Coach bus escaped unhurt after their bus burst into flames in the Nairegie Enkare area along the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway in Narok County on Tuesday.
Police say the bus was driving from Nairobi to Migori when one of the bus’s front wheels reportedly got a puncture while ascending a hill, after which the driver tried to pull it over along the highway for a tire change.
But the bus caught fire in the process, and efforts to reach the Narok County firefighting department bore no fruit.
However, all passengers managed to get out safely with their luggage.
