A man in Kericho Town is nursing seriously at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret after being robbed and attacked by unknown assailants last night.
According to a medical officer at Kericho County Referral Hospital, the man, an owner of a chemist in the town, and his son were attacked as they went home after closing the shop.
The attackers robbed them of unspecified sums of money and other things.
He claimed that the robbers attacked the pair by hacking them with sharp instruments and causing severe head injuries.
When neighbors heard the pair's alarm shouts, they hurried to the site and discovered them lying in a bloody pool.

They hurriedly transported them to the Kericho referral hospital for medical attention. Prior to the father's transfer to MTRH for specialized care, the patients received first aid.
The incident occurred just three months after an M-pesa agent lost her life after being ambushed by unidentified attackers in the same area while she was walking home.
