Property of unknown value was destroyed in a fire incident in Mombasa after a fire broke out in one of the houses in Bangladesh in Jomvu Constituency.

Confirming the incident, Mombasa County Chief Fire Officer Ibrahim Basafar said the fire broke out at around 6 a.m. Friday.

“The fire spread to adjacent houses, destroying household items,” Basafar said.

However, he noted they had difficulty accessing the scene due to poor infrastructure.

“Accessing the area was a challenge but we upload locals who joined efforts to put out the fire.”

Police officers have launched investigations into the incident.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
