The political careers of Paul Abuor of Rongo and Mark Nyamita of Uriri are among those who dodged the axe but were fined Sh1 million each. They are also at risk if they do not follow the party's directive.

According to an official, the party is preparing for a by-election for all affected MPs' seats. Still, it is also braced for a protracted court battle that might delay those preparations until the 2027 General Elections.

“We are ready for them. You cannot betray the party and expect to continue enjoying its fruits. We have soldiers who are ready to lead and take over their positions,” said the official.

A stubborn Ochanda, who saw malice in his expulsion from the party, stated they had been expecting the outcome and were not surprised.

"We're going to look into different options." "However, appealing to the party's next organ may not be necessary," he said.

“If it is a matter of going to State House or meeting the president, all the other leaders have met the president including the party leader. I don’t see where the fault is,” he held.

MP Jalang'o chose a Bible phrase and a supposedly symbolic photo of himself carrying an evidence box to the court during the opposition Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party's presidential election petition to reply to the news.

He wrote: “No trial is too heavy to lift! No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Corinthians 10:13.”
