President William Ruto met Sam Altman, the founder of the new cryptocurrency project WorldCoin and the owner of the US generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) business OpenAI, in San Francisco Bay on Friday.
According to video footage obtained by Citizen Digital, the president, accompanied by Kenya's Ambassador to the United States, Meg Whitman, could be seen heading into a meeting room where Altman and others were present.
This comes as the government canceled the license granted to Tools for Humanity, a Germany-based multinational Hardware and Software Company for which Worldcoin harvested data from thousands of Kenyans, earlier this month.
On Wednesday, the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee examining the tech company interrogated Worldcoin Chief Executive Officer Alex Blania, who insisted that his company is not mining data but rather validating that its users are human.

He stated that forty-eight Orbs, electrical devices, and items used in the initiative were recovered from Tools for Humanity agents.
Meanwhile, President Ruto visited Apple CEO Tim Cook, Intel's Pat Gelsinger, Google CFO Ruth Porat, and executives from Nike, GAP, and Levi Strauss while on an investment tour in the United States.
