Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition, has stated that he will not call for anti-government protests.
Speaking to the media in Karen on Saturday, the ODM Party leader said this would not be his tactic this time.
"Mara hii sitaambia wananchi turudi kwa barabara , hapana. wakirudi watarudi kwa mambo mengine tofauti kabisaa.Staki kusema kwa sasa kwa sababu nitakuwa nimesema mapema," Raila said.
This translates roughly as "This time, I will not tell Kenyans to protest on the streets." If they respond, it will be on other matters. I won't say anything now because it's still early.

On the other hand, Raila warned Kenyans to keep an eye on his next move.
"Lakini naambia wakenya , watch this space," he said.
On social media, Kenyans have been urging Raila to announce the return of Maandamano.
Kenyans turned to social media to vent their outrage after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) raised the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene by Ksh.16.96, Ksh.21.32, and Ksh.33.13 per liter, respectively, on Thursday.
Kenyans accused President William Ruto and his government of burdening people with increasing fuel prices on top of new levies imposed by the controversial Finance Act, which included the infamous Housing Fund.
