On Monday, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) military helicopter crashed during a night patrol in Lamu County, killing all its crew members.

The crew and other military personnel were on board a Kenya Air Force Huey Helicopter when the terrible accident occurred, according to a statement issued by the KDF on Tuesday.

According to KDF, The crew and other military personnel onboard were part of an air surveillance squadron that was intensifying day and night patrols and surveillance for the ongoing Operation Amani Boni.

The KDF also expressed their sympathies to the families of the deceased. Meanwhile, an investigation board has been deployed to the area to determine the cause of the crash.
