A 28-year-old fisherman drowned after he jumped off a moving boat at Ngegu Beach in Rangwe Constituency in Homa Bay.
He drowned during a fishing expedition in Lake Victoria.
Further, his colleagues said the deceased, Clinton Oguta, drowned moments after jumping into the water.
Ngengu Beach Management Unit chairman Caleb Oketch noted that the deceased had told his colleagues he wanted to bathe.
Additionally, he said that the fishermen from the area managed to retrieve the body of their colleague who hails from Sota village in Kochia.
