Twenty-two people are being treated at the Burnt Forest Hospital and the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret following a road collision on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway at the intersection of Ainabkoi road.
According to eyewitnesses, a school bus traveling towards Eldoret crashed head-on with another vehicle heading towards Nakuru.
The bus belongs to a school in Trans Nzoia County's Saboti. Ainabkoi sub-county police commander Stephen Kimunya confirmed the event, saying the 22 people injured were on the bus.
The driver of the other saloon vehicle escaped unharmed. The police are looking into the situation further.
