Githunguri MP Gathoni wa Muchomba has talked about difficulties with the current government, which led her to form a rival opposition alliance with certain politicians who support Azimio. The female parliamentarian claims that the current administration has mistreated her to the point where people have even come to physically assault her in order to engage in political combat.
Her strong opinions on certain matters, including the passing of the Finance bill, are the main source of contention for them. When so much was riding on the outcome of the country's political predicament, she was the only MP from Mount Kenya to hold her ground and vote nay.
Regarding taxes, Raila Odinga of the ODM and Azimio alliance had previously maintained his position and wanted the bill to be rejected for the benefit of the populace. For the good of the nation, William Ruto also wanted the bill to pass. It was necessary for the parliamentarians from William Ruto's side to approve the bill exactly as it was. Actually, the President gave it such a clean pass that to even raise an objection to a clause would be to show disdain for the head of state.

It appears that the majority of members cast their ballots out of fear for the President and the potential repercussions of their choice. Even though quite a few of them had problems, they remained unresolved whispers that would never be revealed.
Wamuchomba only maintained her position during this particular vote, stating that she had made the decision to support the people. Later on, she would grow to be a lonely member of the Kenya Kwanza team. In an apparent attempt to irritate the UDA member of parliament, the president and deputy even favored an outsider, an ex-member of parliament, to lead their initiatives.
Speaking about the severe punishment she received as a result of her stance, Wamuchomba claims that even the Githunguri people understand what she means.
In announcing the formation of a new parallel team to check the administration, Wamuchomba claimed that Kenyans were not being served by the current opposition structure. that they no longer seemed to be fighting for the benefit of the people as they once did, instead appearing to have fallen in line with the current administration. Caleb Amisi, Babu Owino, and other well-known individuals make up her team.
Wamuchomba also criticized the media for failing to hold the administration accountable.
