Senator Ledama Olekina has strongly criticized Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah for allocating over 1.5 billion to maintain roads solely within his constituency. The senator asserts that Ichung'wah, being a highly paid and influential figure in the country, consistently resorts to vitriolic rhetoric whenever he addresses the public. According to Senator Olekina, it's evident that MP Kimani wields significant influence, particularly within Kenya Kwanza. He firmly maintains that the MP's actions effectively absorb the entire budget of Kerra, leaving a mere 5 percent for the rest of the country to utilize.

Kimani Ichung'wah, a staunch ally of President William Ruto, has garnered significant support, which may have contributed to his substantial budget allocation. However, it's crucial to recognize that Ichung'wah's primary focus is on improving road infrastructure within his constituency. Despite his intentions, this move has stirred controversy and opposition from various MPs across the country, including those within the UDA party. The decision to allocate the entire budget to his constituency has caused surprise and raised concerns, as it was largely unexpected and has led to tensions within political circles.

While Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah's primary aim is to assist his constituency, it's evident that this decision carries significant implications for his family. The current state of the country, particularly in the aftermath of floods, necessitates equitable development across all regions and constituencies, without favoritism. Whether these challenges will be effectively addressed remains uncertain, but time will provide answers and hopefully, solutions.
