Kiharu Member of Parliament, Honorable Samuel Ndindi Nyoro, has faced criticism for allegedly deepening divisions in the greater Mount Kenya Region. The efforts of former Laikipia Woman Representative, Honorable Catherine Waruguru have driven these accusations.
While speaking in Nyeri County in the presence of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Catherine Waruguru urged Ndindi Nyoro to slow down his political ambitions and allow his seniors an opportunity to speak and provide guidance. She remarked that the Mount Kenya region existed long before Ndindi and others, and although they are the same age, he is moving through life too quickly.

His Excellency President William Samoei Arap Ruto considers Ndindi Nyoro a close ally. There is speculation that Ruto is attempting to divide the Mount Kenya region by leveraging the young politician from Murang'a.
