Speaking on Kameme TV on Wednesday, August 7, Njomo expressed his disappointment with Rigathi's approach since assuming office. He highlighted that instead of fostering unity among all Kenyans, including those who did not vote for him, Rigathi has been politically antagonistic.

"When Rigathi took over as the Deputy President of Kenya, instead of uniting people including those who had not voted for him, he started beating them politically," Njomo remarked.

He further criticized Rigathi's current efforts to consolidate support within the Mt. Kenya region, suggesting that these efforts may be in vain.

"Now the mountain region he is trying to unite so that he can be the top leader is a work of futility," Njomo added.

Njomo's comments reflect a broader sentiment of dissatisfaction among some political figures and constituents in the region.

This comes in response to Rigathi's visible ambition to unite the region by advocating for ideas that would benefit it, such as the division of revenue according to population, or the "one man, one vote, one shilling" principle, which would significantly benefit the region. The Deputy President has also spearheaded efforts to combat drug abuse in the area.
