Safina Party leader Jimmy Wanjigi has condemned what he calls politically motivated harassment by the Kenya Kwanza administration after a troubling incident at his Muthaiga residence on Saturday night.
Wanjigi alleges that police vehicles entered his property and left the blood of an unidentified animal outside his gate, which he interprets as a deliberate act of intimidation.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Wanjigi expressed his alarm over the incident, stating, “They came here, and you can see the blood that was spilled at my house. These are people who have decided to threaten me again in my home. They are telling me they are going to spill my blood.”
In light of the escalating threats, Wanjigi disclosed that he has vacated his residence and is taking precautions to ensure his safety. “We are trying to be as evasive as possible, but I want to say this: we are not going to be intimidated, neither me nor my family,” he asserted.
Wanjigi also claimed that communication networks around his home have been jammed, significantly impairing his access to the internet and his ability to communicate effectively.

He further alleged that a vehicle, believed to be linked to the police, has been stationed outside his residence for almost a month, continuing to disrupt his connectivity.
“For the last 27 days, a vehicle has been outside there. We cannot use the internet; we cannot watch TV, and this is called massive jamming,” he stated.
The incident comes after a high court order on September 11, which prohibited police from trespassing on Wanjigi’s property following claims by his wife, Irene Nzisa Wanjigi, that officers had raided their home on August 8. So far, the National Police Service has not responded to Wanjigi’s allegations of harassment and surveillance. Wanjigi views these actions as part of a larger attempt to silence him amid the country's ongoing political tensions.
