Sabina Chege stated on Friday that Gachagua is currently the lone leader on Mount Kenya.
"When we back Gachagua from the bottom up, he will gain a lot of respect from those in authority. You are all aware of my enthusiastic support for Azimio, but I also respect leadership and the choices you made through voting, which is why I was in the State House the other day, she remarked.

"As Mount Kenyans, we currently only have one leader, Rigathi Gachagua, and we must give him our full support.
The nominated MP claimed that they met with the government and agreed that the projects that the previous administration started should not stop.

The lawmaker declared that she would not attend Sunday's anticipated Azimio gathering at Jacaranda.

"You won't see me protesting, sijafikisha ujinga hapo, and I want to say today.

Raila Odinga, the head of Azimio, urged Kenyans to gather on Sunday for a rally in Jacaranda.

Before Raila's rally on Monday, Sabina Chege was one of the Jubilee MPs that met President William Ruto at the State House.

After the meeting, Ruto emphasized that the nation can only advance if other leaders are in, and the government cannot go.

"To successfully forward the goal of the Kenyan people, we must assemble a larger and better team. We cannot advance our nation by lagging behind others.," he said

Jubilee was a candidate in the August 2022 elections against Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance as a member of the bigger Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.

Some party leaders have mostly continued to be Ruto's administration's detractors, while others have opted to cooperate with the president.
