Jubilee Secretary General and a member of parliament for the EALA has declared that he recognizes ruto as the President and promised to work with his administration
On Sunday, kanini kega led a group of MPs from Jubilee to join president ruto as he attended a thanksgiving church service in Nakuru.
In a statement, kanini kega said they were there, demonstrating that he and the mps recognize William Samoei Ruto as the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya. He added by saying that With 34 members in the National Assembly and Senate, the Party will be walking and working with the President beginning Sunday
This declaration goes against the sentiments of the azimio coalition. The Jubilee party is part of the azimio coalition. The azimio coalition leader, raila odinga, has made it clear on several occasions that he does not support the kenya kwanza administration, alleging that ruto was not elected lawfully but rather stole the election to clinch power.

In a previous rally, raila odinga said Azimio rejects the 2022 election results. He added that they cannot and will not recognize the Kenya Kwanza regime and consider the Kenya Kwanza government illegitimate. azimio doesn’t recognize William Ruto as the President of Kenya.
Kanini kega took office as the party secretary general last week after a group of MPs from the Party felt that Jeremiah kioni needed to lead the Party in the right direction. Jubilee Chairman Nelson Dzuya announced on 10th February.
Speaking to the general media after the meeting, Mr Dzuya accused Kioni of degrading the Party and arbitrarily issuing disciplinary letters without consulting other members or adhering to the established processes.
At the moment, EALA MP Kanini Kega will take over for Kioni in her role as acting secretary general, whereas Eldas MP Adan Keynan will step in for David Murathe. The acting national treasurer of Jubilee will now be Raychel Nyamai.
Jeremiah kioni is still the legal secretary general of the jubilee party and has initiated disciplinary action against the MPs who met President Ruto in State House this week.
