The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leaning members of the Jubilee Party's National Executive Committee (NEC)are in expulsion after the amendments got approval under the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties(ORPP).
The suspension of three officials resulted from procedural modifications, according to the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, which has given a severe blow to the bigger Azimio coalition.
Vice Chair David Murathe, Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi of the party attended the NEC meeting on February 2, 2023.
Nderitu stated, "The Office has taken note of the substance of your presentations and the resolutions and agrees that the convening of the meeting following the Party Constitution was proper.

As a result, the new officials named Kitui Woman Representative Rachael Nyamai as the National Treasurer, Eldas MP Adan Keynan as the acting Vice Chairperson, and EALA MP Kanini Kega as the acting Secretary General.
In the meantime, Nderitu urged the new representatives to respect the Azimio pact upon leaving the coalition.
She urged to respect the function of the party organs and the provisions of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition agreement.
Therefore, the party's internal dispute resolution mechanism is prepared to formally begin the trio's removal from the party after their suspension.
However, Nderitu urged the group to "adhere to the party Constitution's provisions as you go about the stated procedure."
The new NEC officials said that the party's National Delegates Convention (NDC) would confirm the National Executive Committee's decision to leave the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya.
President William Ruto met with the 32 Jubilee leaders who approved the overthrow of the Kioni-led faction and received their oaths of allegiance.
