Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has received strong criticism from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party for his remarks in Kericho over the weekend.
According to Azimio leader Raila Odinga, President William Ruto's administration is exclusive. It is favouring only two regions that gave them a lopsided victory in the general election of 2022.
In response to DP Gachagua's statement on Saturday that those who voted for them are the largest shareholders in the national government and must get permit priority advantages.

Tuesday's burial for Azimio spokesperson Prof. Makau Mutua took place in Kitui County, and it was the perfect opportunity for the opposition side to revenge against the DP.
The vice president's comments were deemed irresponsible and divisive by the coalition's leaders, led by Mr Odinga.
"ndio watakuwa mbele huko ati wale walipiga kura. Shares are ati sisi sasa. Kila Mkenya anatoa Ushuru," the previous leader declared.
"Since it's a national institution, ikikusanya kodi za watu wa Lower Eastern na Azimio, hiyo kodi ipelekewe the people's president tufanye maendeleo huku kwetu," said Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua. "Kama hao wameamua ya kwamba hiyo kampuni
Mr Odinga also alleged that the Ruto administration had marginalized and disenfranchised groups without backing them.
According to Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc Kenya party, "Tuko imara na wao wako ofisini kwa njia isiyo halali...
Tumeshindwa sasa tunakuja kwenu wananchi tumeenda kila mahali
Before starting public barazas in Kakamega and Kitale the following weekend, Azimio reports that it will perform prayers on Wednesday at the Jevanjee Gardens over the country's situation.
