For an unknown cause, Raila Odinga lost his AU appointment on February 23, 2022. The opposition leader had been the AU envoy to encourage economic growth and sustainable development in 2018 and to speed up the continent's union through infrastructure.

However, his agreement with AU got terminated for several online-disclosed reasons. Raila said he had asked to be relieved of his duties because of other essential problems, while the AU claimed in a letter that it had terminated the fairground contract.

But on Tuesday night, Raila made public that President Ruto had urged AU head Faki to remove Raila from his position as an envoy. Raila claims that on February 17, Ruto met with Faki in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, and requested that he dismiss Raila from his position.

But Raila had already informed the AU that he intended to step down from the position. Raila remarked that he is still determining whether Faki would have taken Ruto's recommendation to have him fired.

As a result, opposition leader Raila Odinga spoke with KTN on Tuesday evening and discussed what goes on behind the scenes. When speaking to Kenyans, Raila did not hold back in denouncing the current administration and disclosing dark transactions.

Kenyans learned from Raila that Ruto approached him about an agreement before the general election in August 2022. The Azimio head claimed that Ruto was deploying envoys to negotiate with Raila because he was practically guaranteed to lose the elections.

He continued by revealing that Ruto had asked Raila to set up the opposition office for him after he gained power because he wanted to have a robust office as the opposition leader.
