On Wednesday, angry Azimio la Umoja protesters in Kisumu disrupted a meeting headed by Communications Authority (CA) Director General Ezra Chiloba at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga sports ground.

ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo was initially supposed to preside over the meeting but failed to show up, forcing Chiloba to take over. immediately after addressing the meeting, azimio la Umoja supporters stormed the meeting. The protesters went on to the stage and disrupted the meeting.

As the rowdy youths shouted anti-Eliud Owalo slogans, service providers rushed to ensure the safety of their equipment, including tents, chairs, and music systems.

Protesters carried twigs, sufurias, and anti-Kenya Kwanza administration placards as they marched.

The leaders vowed to continue protesting against President William Ruto's administration, adding that there will be a final rally in the county on Friday before the protests in Nairobi on Monday the 20th.

Last week,azimio la Umoja leader raila odinga declared the start of mass action against the kenya kwanza government for failing to lower living costs.

"We are just doing this because it is our only alternative. We do not want any violence or carnage. It will be nonviolent, and I have also indicated that we do not wish to have any handshake." said Raila

"We declare that March 20 shall be a holiday in the name of Azimio One Kenya Alliance. The former premier announced in response to a request from Martha Karua, leader of the Narc Kenya Party, that all employed supporters of Azimio may participate in the demonstrations".he added

according to the constitution, only the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior could declare a public holiday. Odinga has also asked president William ruto to resign from office because he is there illegally.

Raila Odinga claims that he won the election by over 2 million votes but that chebukati colluded with kenya kwanza officials to steal the votes from him.
