"These are only a sample of the people who are ready and willing to join you. Given a chance, you will see a big number of KANU members willing to join UDA. We believe that even though this party is six months old, it has shown signs that it is heading somewhere. We need to give it a chance," he said.

Brenda Majune, a former KANU Women Congress Treasurer who was part of the delegation, stated that she left KANU willfully because she believes in President William Ruto's ideology, adding that she will be reaching out to her sister so that they can start 'Daughters of William Ruto' to work with women in arid counties to combat climate change.

"I have come to UDA because I believe in the vision of President William Ruto. Thank you, Secretary General Cleophas Malala, for the warm welcome. Assure the President that we're ready to work with him," said Ms Majune, who was also the Charilady of the 'Daughters of Gideon Moi movement.
