Azimio la Umoja coalition supporters are being teargassed in various parts of the country as they engage police in running battles.

A delegation of Azimio MPs headed by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna entered the Kenyatta International Convention Centre around 10 a.m. (KICC). Edwin Sifuna says that teargas will not scare them and that they must accomplish their mission. He added that the parliamentarians had walked from Parliament and had not carried weapons but were being teargassed.

A similar scenario occurred in Kibra Constituency, in which demonstrators blocked roads and threw rocks at police officers stationed there. According to a video posted by an online user on Twitter, a group of young men are seen carrying the injured man to a motorcycle. Traders at Toi market can be heard yelling that he is a mechanic, not a demonstrator. Most businesses have remained closed in

Three demonstrators were arrested in Kawangware's Congo area as officers dispersed people gathered to join in the protests. Security is heavily deployed in the region to quell the protests.

Protesters have gone to the streets in Kisumu City, lighting bonfires in Kondele, a popular hangout for Raila Odinga supporters in Kisumu. Several bodaboda riders helped other demonstrators spread their message. The same scenes were witnessed in Kitale.

Winnie odinga, the daughter of azimio la Umoja leader raila odinga, planned that their communication devices were jammed but promised that she would join azimio supporters in the streets.

Azimio supporters are protesting about the high cost of living due to the removal of subsidies, and the nomination process of IEBC commissioners and they want the servers used in the previous election. Raila odinga claims that he won the elections by over 2 million votes, but IEBC officials stole it from them.
