Agano party leader David Mwaure has on Wednesday acknowledged that President William Ruto legitimately won the 2022 general elections.

In a tweet, Mwaure said he was also a presidential candidate during the elections and testifies that the figures revealed Ruto won the polls.

Further, he stated that they accepted the defeat and approved Ruto as the President.

However, he questioned why some candidates still insist that Ruto didn't win yet his victory was validated by the Supreme Court.

“We then conceded defeat and endorsed, Ruto setting the climate for announcement and acceptance of his win. How then can we accept any other story?” Mwaure asked.

He added that he is prepared to support the authenticity of President Ruto’s victory at any convention.

“We still stand by what we witnessed and are ready to support the truth, facts and figures at any forum. God bless Kenya,” Mwaure said.

This comes after Azimio La Umoja Party leader Raila Odinga demanded the opening of the IEBC servers to confirm who won the August 9, 2022, elections.
