Martin Andati, a political analyst, asserts that the majority of Azimio activities currently take place at the Steven Kalonzo Musyoka facility in Karen and surmises that this may be done to increase his profile.

He says that since Raila Odinga, the leader of the alliance, is the most well-liked politician in Azimio, it's possible that this is an effort to acclimate opposition supporters before the 2027 elections.

He goes on to say that Kalonzo is superior to even Martha Karua, the head of Narc Kenya and running mate to Raila in the 2022 presidential elections. He speculates that Raila might have chosen to repay Kalonzo for backing him three times in the past three years for the top position.

The political analyst suggests that Azimio also seems to be making plans for 2027 and is concealing this activity under its disputes with President William Ruto.

Andati believes this is the only explanation for the government's ongoing renegotiation with Kenya Kwanza, a tactic he believes is employed to provide the opposition with the support it requires prior to elections.

He thinks the Azimio demonstrations and marches are planned to undermine the government's reputation and foment unrest against Ruto.
