Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has set its sights on registering over 15 million voters out of the 22 million electorates currently listed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

During a recruitment and popularization event held in Narok on Saturday, Cleophas Malala, the Secretary-General (SG) of the party, expressed confidence that achieving this goal would secure resounding victories for UDA's candidates and help prevent future electoral challenges.

During the event, the UDA Secretary-General highlighted the significant achievement of having 850 out of the nation's 1450 MCAs elected on UDA tickets. He urged the ward representatives to collaborate with governors to promote development within their respective counties.

Malala clarified that supporting governors does not diminish the MCAs' crucial role in overseeing the proper utilization of county funds and ensuring accountability.

In addition, Malala criticized opposition leader Raila Odinga for continuously criticizing government policies without providing reliable solutions to the country's challenges.

All of the Narok UDA MPs present were invited to vote on the Finance Bill on Tuesday by Patrick Ntutu, the governor of Narok County.

David Sankok, Rebecca Tonkei, Kitilai Ntutu, Ken Aramat, Gabriel Tongoyo, and Johana Ngeno, all MPs, agreed.
