Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has bashed opposition leader Raila Odinga for holding what he termed as a hot-air rally. According to Cherargei, some key allies to Mr. Odinga were missing-out and most important his Mt.Kenya financials.

"Kamukunji Azimio-OKA rally was hot air with usual plain threats. People were a no show including financiers, Mt Kenya foundation, and Uhuru, "Cherargei said on Wednesday.

Mr. Cherargei strongly believes Raila Odinga is fading away from the political scene.

Among the leaders present at the venue were Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, and ex-Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.

Key Azimio leaders such as former Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, and Siaya Governor James Orengo skipped the event. Cherargei was keen to note and question it.

"If Orengo and Amollo were absent, then you can be sure that Tinga is fading like a flower in summer!" said the lawmaker.

The Kamukunji Grounds meeting started with a line-up of youths and women who addressed the meeting. They ranged from mama mbogas to students and youth in general.

In their statements, some touched on, the cost of living, Kazi mtaani, single men, and others castigating the hustler nation fund.

A young man referring to himself as a ghetto president said the hustler fund according to him was meant to finish the youth.

According to Raila, December 7, marked the start of a series of consultations on the state of the nation, following the removal of the commissioners.

Raila urged Kenyans to learn to say No to dictatorship. On Monday 20 March, Raila Odinga is set to hold a mega protest. What will Cherargei Say?
