Sometimes back, Ledama a vocal member of the Orange Democratic Movement party had speculated that President William Ruto Could be looking for a sweet handshake with former prime minister Raila Odinga.

President William Ruto wrote a letter addressed to Wetangula and Amason Kingi concerning the official office of the opposition leader.

The Head of State had mobilized his MPs to table a motion seeking the establishment of the office of the official opposition.

According to reports reaching the media, some MPs appeared to be outraged by their boss's then-political step, which was expected to grant Raila broad rights and privileges beginning in 2027.

However, it was joy for Azimio members such as Narok Senator Ledama Olekina. According to the senator, President Ruto’s latest letter to the Parliament and the Senate is a clear indication that he is not ready to rule through chest-thumping.

"Is president William Ruto seeking a colorful handshake with my party leader Raila Odinga through parliament?" The vocal lawmaker speculated.

"His recent letter to the speakers of both Houses of Parliament depicts a man whose future will be determined by application of 48 laws of power and not chest-thumping" He added.

In his letter addressed To Wetangula and Amason Kingi, Ruto appeared to extend an olive branch to the opposition side by committing to implement the two-third gender rule in Parliament and the establishment of the Leader of Opposition office that will be occupied by former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Unfortunately, the said handshake has not yet happened. The only thing that has happened are the countless rallies from Azimio OKa. The demonstrations are not all good since businesses are interrupted due to the battle between the protestors and the police.

What do you think the government should do to reach to agreement with Azimio Oka leaders?
