FKF Premier League side Bandari FC Interim head coach John Baraza is optimistic of a fine start in his tenure when they host winless AFC Leopards at Mbaraki on Sunday.

The former Equity coach stated that they have made many corrections and want to return to winning ways when the league resumes after the international break, following his charges to a 10-0 friendly victory against Mombasa Combine at Mbaraki.

"We have prepared well during the break we did not rest but make sure we come up with different formations to achieve our goal against Leopards," said Baraza.

He continued, "Mentally the players had beed disturbed so we also conducted some talking sessions with them to make sure we are back and fresh".

Baraza hopes to have former NSL top scorer Beja Nyamawi back. However, he will still be without Ugandan attacker Umaru Kasumba on his playing squad while he recovers from an injury.

"Mudiga, Kasumba and Mwangemi are still out going through rehabilitaion programmes so we will be without them over the weekend."

Following Twahir Muhiddin's dismissal at the dockyard, former Harambee Stars forward Baraza will be supported by former Harambee Sand Stars coach Rajab Babu.

In their first assignment in Mombasa, AFC Leopards will welcome new coach Tomas Trucha, who will take on Bandari.
