The Spanish federation announced on Wednesday that Real Madrid will play Atletico Madrid, their city rivals, in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, while Barcelona will play Osasuna.

Copa del Rey champions On January 10, Madrid will play Atletico in Riyadh, and on January 11, La Liga winners Barcelona will play the runners-up in the Spanish Cup.

All matches will be played at Al-Awwal Park Stadium in the Saudi capital of Al-Nassr on January 14, the day of the final.


Cristiano Ronaldo, the club's all-time top goalscorer and a former Real Madrid striker, plays for Al-Nassr and several other recent additions from the European game, including Sadio Mane and Amyeric Laporte.

Except for the 2020–21 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Spanish Super Cup has been played in Saudi Arabia since the RFEF brought it there for the first time in 2019.
