Reinhard Mwalati, Wilhite Mususi, and Walter Okoth have been included in the Simbas lineup for their crucial Victoria Cup title decider against Uganda at the King’s Park Arena in Bweyogerere, Kampala on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Mwalati and Okoth will be making their test debuts in this significant match.
Mwalati, who was a key player in the Kenya U20 squad that clinched the 2021 Rugby Africa U20 Barthes Trophy, steps in as the openside flanker in his debut test match, edging out Elkeans Musonye. He joins captain George Nyambua in the blindside position, while Jeanson Misoga takes on the role of number eight.
Mususi, also a former Kenya U20 player, earns his place as the tighthead prop, displacing Hillary Mwanjilwa. The front row is completed by Ephraim Oduor and Teddy Akala, with Hibrahim Ayoo and Hillary Odhiambo forming the second row partnership.
Walter Okoth slots into the inside center position, part of a midfield pairing that also features Bryceson Adaka.
