Football Kenya Federation has today unveiled the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, (KBC) as its official FKF Premier League Free to Air (FTA) broadcast partner.
Under this seven-year partnership, the Federation is set to receive USD 1,250,000 Million (approximately Ksh 191,623,931) for the first season, with an increment of USD 100,000 (Ksh 15,329,914) for the subsequent seasons.
KBC, on its part, shall air a total of 68 matches, two every match week, on its TV and Radio platforms.
“This partnership will go a long way in making Kenyan football more accessible for viewership to every household. This exposure will not only increase the commercial value of the league but shall also aid in our long-term vision of making the FKF Premier League self-sustainable,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.
“The Ministry of Sports has been very supportive of the Federation’s football development programs at the national level and for this, we say asante sana,” added the FKF President.
