Swedish football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, the first foreigner to head the England national team, died at 76.

Eriksson, a dynamic coach who guided Swedish, Portuguese, and Italian clubs to significant titles in the 1980s and 1990s before taking over England in 2001, stated earlier this year that he was terminally sick with pancreatic cancer.
