After winning at Crystal Palace on Saturday, second-placed Manchester City narrowed the gap with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal team. The Gunners reacted with the same level-headed performance that defined their surprising title charge.

Leandro Trossard set up goals by Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard in the first half, putting Arsenal on track for their fifth straight league victory.

The north Londoners have their sights set on the championship with 11 league games remaining.

After falling out of first place following a loss to City, which occurred throughout four games without a victory, Arsenal has responded with a great effort that belies their potential as champions.

This season, Arsenal has won 11 of their 14 away league games, demonstrating their resiliency and maturity as they position themselves to win the crown for the first time since Arsene Wenger's "Invincibles" in 2004.

"We scored some great goals. Especially with a clean sheet, I'm particularly thrilled to win on the road", particularly with a clean sheet Arteta remarked.

"It's fantastic to see how the squad is sharing the goals. Leandro provided three assists and had the opportunity to score as well".

Gabriel Jesus, a forward for Brazil, made his first appearance for Arsenal in the final 14 minutes following a World Cup injury to his knee. It was further excellent news for the Gunners.

The Gunners made sure Mick Jagger, a member of the Rolling Stones, enjoyed his visit to Craven Cottage by having him watch the game from the stands.

After 21 minutes, Gabriel gave Arsenal the lead with a powerful close-range header off a corner from Trossard after rising over three players from Fulham.

In the 26th minute, Arsenal made another aerial raid.

Once more, Trossard was the one to set up the goal. He dribbled down the left wing before lofting a cross in Martinelli's direction. Martinelli easily outjumped Antonee Robinson and headed the ball in from close range.

In the final seconds of the opening frame, Odegaard rendered the outcome conclusive while Arsenal benefited from more terrible Fulham defending.

Trossard earned his third game assist when his cross found Odegaard in the Fulham box. With too much room to move, the midfielder controlled his thigh before unleashing a ferocious shot that flew past Bernd Leno.

Casemiro's Problems

Casemiro's departure at Old Trafford prompted third-placed United to accept a dismal 0-0 draw.

Although United had gone undefeated in their last 22 home games, this was a lacklustre showing in their first league game since suffering a humbling 7-0 loss to fierce rivals Liverpool the previous weekend.

Erik ten Hag's team struggled to maintain an advantage following Casemiro's dismissal in the 34th minute as they appeared worn out after defeating In the opening leg of the Europa League, Real Betis last-16 on Thursday.

Following a VAR review, Casemiro received a red card for the foul. His red card against Crystal Palace was the former Real Madrid player's second dismissal in eight games, and he now faces a four-match suspension.

"In more than 500 games in Europe, Casemiro never received a red card. He now has two in the Premier League", according to Ten Hag.

"The problem is not his absence. We'll take care of that. The referee had an impact on this game".

Despite their valiant draw, Southampton is still at the bottom of the standings.

West Ham's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the London Stadium helped them escape the relegation zone.

West Ham, who had been in 18th place to begin the day, had moved up one spot but was nevertheless jeered off at the end of the game.

Ollie Watkins' goal-bound header of Emiliano Buendia's cross gave Villa the lead with their first shot on goal in the 17th minute.
